Bronson O. Harris

Bronson O. Harris, 84 of Midland, died Sunday afternoon, March 6, 2005 at the MidMichigan Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 22, 1920 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, son of the late Pleasant Virgil and Orpha (Gandy) Harris. He married the former Theresa “Teri” McMillan on August 19, 1950 in Bay City. Bronson was employed with The Dow Chemical Company for 30 years, retiring in 1970. He later worked as a real estate broker owning and operating Bronson’s Real Estate and later Reality World Bronson’s. He was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, one of the founder’s of the Midland Area Homes, member of the Midland Chamber of Commerce, Tittabawassee Sailing Club, Bay City Rotary Club, along with many other community activities in Midland. Bronson had been an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. Surviving in addition to his wife Teri of 54 years are his children, Bruce Harris of Midland, Tracy Emsely of Sault Lake City, Utah, Scott Harris of Midland, Heather Blume of Sault Lake City, Utah; 6 beautiful grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and two sisters, Betty Young of Livonia and Shirley Peters of Indiana.

-SERVICES-
A memorial service will take place at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2005 from the Unitarian Univeralist Fellowship, 6220 Jefferson Ave., Midland. Rev. Jane Thickstun will officiate. Services were entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors.

-VISITATION-
Cremation has taken place and no visitation will take place at the funeral home.

-MEMORIALS-
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Unitarian Univeralist Fellowship.
