Gladys Schnell

Gladys H. Schnell, 95 of Vassar, died Tuesday morning, December 1, 2009 at the Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth. She was born May 5, 1914 in Reese daughter of the late Edward and Helena (Nurminger) Reinbold. On October 28, 1939 she was married to John M. Schnell in Reese. He predeceased her August 29, 2005. Mrs. Schnell was a life long member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville.

Surviving is her son and daughter, Elaine Schnell and John Schnell and his wife Diane all of Vassar, three grandchildren and their spouses, Kevin and Jessie Schnell of Naperville, IL; Nathan Schnell of Phoenix, AZ; and Melissa and Craig McCloud of Vassar; two great grand-children, Makenna McCloud and Emily Schnell, one brother, Edward Reinbold and his wife Betty of Reese; and two sisters-in-law, Elsie Weber and her husband Richard of Tawas; and Lois Wylie and her husband John of Frankenmuth. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Schnell was predeceased by two sisters and one brother, Hilda Vanek, Lillian O’Connor and Ervin Reinbold.


~Funeral Services~
Funeral and committal services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2009 from the St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville. Rev. Rob Gadeken and Rev. Wesley Gillaspie will both officiate with burial in the St. Michael’s Cemetery.

~Visitation~
Mrs. Schnell’s family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw St. Reese on Thursday 2-8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the St. Michael’s Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth.
