Jonathan DuRussel

Jonathan Charles “Jon” DuRussel, 48, of Saginaw, died suddenly, Wednesday evening, January 13, 2010 at St. Mary’s of Michigan. He was born July 7, 1961 in Saginaw, son of Arthur and Florine (Gossett) DuRussel of Indiantown and was a 1979 graduate of Reese High School. He was a Christian and loved the Lord. He owned and operated Primary Tree Service and had cut trees from a very young age. Jon was a former Boy Scout Leader in Reese and enjoyed going to movies.

Surviving besides his parents, Art and Florine, are his ten brothers and sisters and their spouses, Andrew DuRussel, Donald and June DuRussel, Nicholas and Helen DuRussel, Frank and Vicky DuRussel, Florine and Mike Wellman, Anthony DuRussel, Suzanne DuRussel, Ema and Daniel Kleinert, Peter and Candy DuRussel, and Elmer DuRussel, his grandmother, Emma Gossett, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by many family members who are there to greet him in Heaven; his grandparents, Angelina and Arthur DuRussel and Andrew Gossett, his sister-in-law, Marianne DuRussel and other extended family members. Jon will be missed by everyone who knew him.


~Funeral Services~
In honoring Jon’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass to celebrate his life will take place at 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 18, 2010 from the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Reese. Father Joe Schabel will officiate with inurnment to take place later.

~Visitation~
Jon’s family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 11 A.M. until time of Mass. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors, 9940 Saginaw St. in Reese. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.

~Memorials~
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Jon’s parents, the donor’s favorite charity, or to plant a tree in his memory.
