Judy Hammond

Judy Lynne Hammond, 66 of Midland, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 17, 2010. She was born March 16, 1943 at her home in Homer Township. Judy was the daughter of the late Donald L. Mudd and mother Carol Osborne. She married George J. Hammond on July 7, 1972 in Midland at her father’s home.
Judy was employed as an avid home health care provider in the Midland area for over 25 years and retired at the age of 65. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially her grandchildren, devoted her life to God. Judy is survived by her sisters, Janet Berryhill of Texas, and Kathy Butcher of Florida; her children Tammy Cain, Angie (Timothy) Furlo and Steven (Loretta) Ross; 10 grandchildren, Renee (Todd) Cain-Whitehead, Jacob (Sarah) Furlo, Curtiss (Amy) Cain, J.D. (Ashle') Furlo, Jessica Furlo, Heather Praay, and two great grandchildren, Julia Whitehead and Jaydin Furlo. In addition to her parents, and her husband, Judy was predeceased by a son Joey Ross, a great grandchild Joel Cain and a brother Leo Mudd.


A Celebration of Judy’s life will take place 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010, from the Eagle Ridge Church of God (2808 Waldo Ave.)
