Dale Allen Marx, 65, of Reese, formerly of Prudenville, died Friday morning, January 29, 2010 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. He was born February 7, 1944 in Saginaw, son of Emma Ahrns Marx of Reese and the late John Marx. Dale was a graduate of Reese High School in 1962. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1962 and served until 1966. He then joined the United States Air Force Reserve and was employed as a flight mechanic working on both C119 and C130 aircraft. After his departure from the Air Force Reserve in 1984 he purchased Pat and Bob’s Bar, now the Pressure Crack, in Prudenville and operated it until he sold it in 1997. His favorite enjoyments were hunting, and fishing.
Surviving besides his mother Emma, is his son Troy Dale Marx and his wife Jennifer of South Dakota; his daughter Wendy Fisher of England; four grandsons, Matthew Fisher, and James, Isaac and Jordan Marx. Also surviving is his sister-in-law Judy Marx of Reese; two nieces, Sherry Monsees and her husband John of Vassar and Shawn Marx of Frankenmuth and one nephew, Scott Marx of Reese. In addition to his father he was predeceased by his brother Gerald “Jerry” Marx who died June 7, 2004.
~Funeral Services~
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 9940 Saginaw Street in Reese. Rev. Tom Senge of the Christ Lutheran Church in Reese will officiate with military honors by the U.S. Air Force to take place after the service. Burial will take place later in the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Saginaw.

Dale’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
