Marian A. Emery, 85, of Midland, died Sunday morning January 31, 2010 at the Toni & Trish House, with her family by her side. She was born July 3, 1924 in Lake Orion, daughter of the late Ray and Alice (Turner) Perry. On November 18, 1944 she married Cleo “John” Emery in Hemlock. They resided in Merrill for 50 years, and came to Midland in 1995. Marian was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She will be missed by her children, James C. (Peggy) Emery of Dearborn, John R. (Karen) Emery of Rancho Santa Fe, California, Douglas R. (Pamela) Emery of Valrico, Florida, Richard J. (Darlene) Emery of Belmont, and Diane (Doug) Hentschel of Midland; and by seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John in 2003; an infant son, Charles; and by her sister, Margaret Ruble.

SERVICES
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, February 4th at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 3516 E. Monroe Road at Jefferson. Father Richard M. Filary will officiate, with burial in New Calvary Cemetery.

VISITATION
Mrs. Emery’s family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m., and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.

VIGIL SERVICE
A Vigil Service for the deceased will take place at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
