Carolyn Ruth (Wisner) Lewis, 79 of Midland, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at the MidMichigan Medical Center. Her final days were spent surrounded by family. She touched many friends throughout her full and memorable life. Carolyn was born on October 20, 1930, in Flint Township to Guy and Agnes (Theisen) Wisner and had four siblings, Tyson Wisner, Mary Holmes, Pauline Guy, and Patrick Wisner. Her parents and two siblings predeceased her. She married William (Bill) C. Lewis on August 14, 1954, and is survived by her seven children, Bonnie (Pat) Foley of Jupiter FL, Sherry (Randy) Machovec of Durant IA, Jeffrey (Kay) Lewis of Gladwin, Michael (Robynne) Lewis of Cross Hill SC, and Julie (Kevin) Stenger, Jack (Susan) Lewis and Sandra (Jeffrey) Stock, all of Midland. She had sixteen grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Bill predeceased her in 1997. She graduated from Davison High School in 1948, and from St. Mary's Hospital Nursing School in Saginaw, and spent most of her career at Dow Medical. She remained close with her group of nursing friends for 62 years. She loved music and was an excellent piano player, and missed playing piano with her dad in later years. She enjoyed playing games and cards with her family and euchre group, and touched many lives with her loving nature. She enjoyed her final year with her new friends at K&K Quality Care, and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church for many years.

~Funeral~
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010 from Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Father Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate with entombment at New Calvary Mausoleum.

~Visitation~
Carolyn’s family will receive friends at the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 1 p.m. until time of mass. A Vigil for the deceased will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
